Relive the battles of R-Type DX with this collectible Plasma Purple vinyl soundtrack. From the opening battle theme to unforgettable boss encounters, the music of R-Type provided the driving soundtrack behind one of gaming's most challenging and iconic shoot-'em-up series.
This release celebrates the music of R-Type and R-Type II, featuring tracks from R-TYPE DX: Music Encore alongside music from the original Game Boy soundtrack.
Music Encore features Game Boy-inspired remixes by WASi303 (Tetsuro Sato), preserving the atmosphere and distinctive character of the original compositions while giving the classic R-Type sound a new interpretation.
The collection features music originally composed by Masato Ishizaki and Masahiko Ishida, with original Game Boy arrangements by David Whittaker. The collectible presentation also features artwork from anime artist Paul “OTAKING” Johnson.
