Modernize your Nintendo GameCube power setup with the GameCube USB-C Power Module. Designed to replace the console's original power button board, the internal module allows you to power your GameCube using a compatible 45W+ USB-C power supply instead of the original AC adapter.
The USB-C interface goes beyond simply adapting the connection. Its onboard MCU validates USB Power Delivery negotiation and checks that the connected power supply can provide the voltage and current required by the GameCube, helping protect both your console and USB-C power adapter.
Key Features:
- Power your GameCube with a compatible modern 45W+ USB-C power supply
- Negotiated USB Power Delivery protection
- MCU validates proper voltage negotiation and available current before operation
- Supports PD12, AVS, and PPS for broader compatibility with modern USB-C power supplies
- Internal version features a soft power button — a single press toggles the console on or off
- Internal installation requires no soldering
Choose Your Version:
Internal Module: Replaces the GameCube's internal power board. Simply unplug the original board and install the new module — no soldering required. Once installed, the original GameCube power supply can no longer be used. A Gamebit screwdriver is required for installation.
External Cable: A short adapter cable featuring a female USB-C port and male GameCube power connector. No console disassembly or screwdriver is required, and it provides the same protection mechanisms as the internal module.
USB-C Power Supply Requirements:
This device prioritizes the safety of your GameCube over maximum power supply compatibility. It is intended for use with higher-power USB-C adapters such as those designed for laptops, tablets, and fast-charging phones. A 45W or higher power supply is recommended.
Your USB-C power supply must support at least one of the following:
- PPS (Programmable Power Supply)
- AVS (Adjustable Voltage Supply)
- PD12
The supported power standard must also provide 3A or more of current. When checking your power supply, look for specifications such as 12V / 3A, or a PPS/AVS voltage range that includes 12V at 3A, such as 5V–16V / 3A.
